SOLVIA CryoMABR™

A gas-permeable membrane with a cryogel biocatalytic coating. Oxygen crosses the wall to the attached microorganisms, while pollutants reach the biological layer from the water side.

Discuss your project

Conceptual process train. Your project determines the configuration.

How it works

A macroporous cryogel layer containing immobilised microorganisms is formed on the membrane's outer surface. Gas arrives from inside the membrane and substrate from the surrounding water. This counter-diffusion arrangement combines a biomass carrier with bubbleless oxygen delivery.

Applications

For membrane-aerated bioreactors, aeration tanks, compact treatment plants and upgrades to existing works. Selection considers wastewater composition, biological conditions and reactor compatibility.

Development status

Being developed as a SOLVIA product platform. The configuration, equipment and control settings are selected for each site, considering wastewater composition, loading and treated-water requirements.
