How it works

An external module treats side streams from nitritation and anammox reactors. The cathodic circuit supports reducing conditions, while the anodic circuit provides pulsed action in the nitritation zone. Control uses sensor data and coordination between the biological stages.

Applications

For municipal plants, sludge-treatment side streams, membrane-system concentrates and landfill leachate. Suitability is assessed from nitrogen loading and biological process conditions.

Development status

A SOLVIA technology development for project-specific systems. Layout, materials and operating settings are selected for the stream composition and site conditions, with implementation details established during engineering.
